As you may be aware plans have been afoot for some time to start brewing our own ale. These plans are finally coming to fruition! Plans are in full swing for this years Beer Festival. The following entertainment is confirmed :-

The votes have been counted, verified and recounted just to be safe.
Of the 62 ales consumed during the week a staggering 25 beers received at least one vote for BoF.  This illustrates the high standard of the brews this year. The beers which received votes are, in no particular order:-
Dark Munro, Saligo, Stewart No.3, Bath [...]

62 Ales sold during the week. Only Black Gold from Cairngorm didn’t quite make it on during the Festival but it sneaked on during Sunday afternoon so we will include it!

It’s been an eventful start to the Beer Festival. No time for an update yesterday but I’ve managed to sneak a quick one in today.
Beers we’ve said goodbye to so far include :- Red Cuillin, Trade Winds, Blessed Thistle, Crags, Crofter’s Pale Ale, Edinburgh Gold, Scapa Special, Lia Fail, Ossian, Raven, Dun Hogs Head, MacBeth, [...]

Well, we’re almost underway and the line-up for Day 1 looks rather good, even if I do say so myself.
Edinburgh Gold, Trade Winds, Crofter’s Pale Ale, Scapa Special (CAMRA Champion Beer of Scotland 2008), Raven Ale (CAMRA Champion Beer of Scotland 2009), Foxfield Dark Crystal Mild, Macbeth, Red Cuillin and Lia Fail alongside a Medium [...]

New breweries confirmed include Broughton Ales, Traquair House, Nethergate, Morrissey Fox, Brewdog, Bath Ales and Harviestoun.
Hopefully that will be enough to keep eveyone satisfied. I’ll see if I can manage to put the full list of ales on here when they all arrive.

They’ve been ordered and as usual they are coming from Barritt Glass Print. Again as with previous years we’ll be selling the glasses to raise funds for the SSPCA.

Islay Ales have confirmed today that their ales should be with us for the Beer Festival. Another new one for us. Making progress on the brews from England-shire but nothing to confirm yet…
